Biography

Dr. Khadijah Cyril is licensed psychologist trained in evidence-based interventions to treat children, adolescents, and young adults who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, and personality disorders. Dr. Khadijah Cyril considers herself with generalist practitioner with a niche. She has specific expertise and interest in helping individuals with racial identity challenges, behavioral challenges, and/or who grew up in high conflict households. She helps individuals and their families learn strategies to support their social and emotional needs. She has been trained in school, clinical, college, and Ivy League settings where she has completed numerous rigorous experiences that further cultivated her ability to provide research-based treatment. Dr. Khadijah Cyril is passionate about ensuring that treatment adheres to a standard proven by decades of research. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive process therapy (CPT), prolonged exposure (PE), and behaviorism. She has also completed an intensive training in DBT by Behavioral Tech. Dr. Khadijah Cyril currently provides individual and group therapy, and in the future she hopes to learn methods to help decrease the mental health disparity through psychoeducation and non-profit work.
